Design for the 21st issue of SAND Journal, a biannual magazine rooted in Berlin’s international creative community. SAND features a curated selection of literary and visual works by writers, translators, and artists from around the world.
    Founded in 2009 by Becky Crook, the journal celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2020 by declaring it the 'year of archaeology.' This issue is the first to feature illustrations accompanying the poems. For this edition, I commissioned Célestin Krier, whose work, shaped by archaeological and antique artifacts, perfectly complements the theme and direction of the issue.

    With a strong commitment to diversity, this issue continues the journal’s mission to spotlight underrepresented voices—particularly work by women, LGBTQ+ creators, and artists from marginalized regions. The editorial design supports this ethos through a thoughtful, accessible layout that gives space to a wide range of perspectives while maintaining a cohesive visual narrative.

    This issue reflects that mission through a design language that balances clarity with energy—translating complex topics into an accessible and visually compelling experience. THE BEAM was distributed to nearly 1,000 public venues, organizations, businesses, and individuals across 35 countries, serving as both a source of knowledge and a call to action.

    This issue’s design approach emphasizes quiet elegance and clarity, allowing the content to breathe while guiding the reader through a carefully structured editorial journey. The visual identity reflects the publication’s intellectual tone and cultural sophistication, reinforcing its role as a bridge between disciplines, languages, and perspectives.

Design of a fashion lookbook for Alla Lepnina, a Berlin-based fashion designer. The concept draws inspiration from Fathers and Sons, the classic novel by Russian author Ivan Turgenev. The visual direction explores themes of generational tension, identity, and transformation, mirroring the narrative’s emotional depth through photography, typography, and layout.

Participation at Red Design Consultants

As one of the largest supermarket chains in Greece, AB Vassilopoulos sought to refresh its own-label product range. At Red Design Consultants, we developed the branding and packaging for a series of 30 products, crafting a visual identity that emphasized the connection between nature’s produce and the consumer.
    Drawing inspiration from the Greek landscape and Mediterranean nutritional values, the design strategy highlighted themes of authenticity, locality, and wellness—promoting the tradition of healthy eating while fostering a more personal relationship with the brand.
